Summer Summit in the Cotswolds

18th June 2014

Team Usborne event

Being part of Team Usborne entitles members to certain benefits, one being the opportunity to attend business training and celebration meetings in a variety of luxurious locations across the country.

Recently, a group of Team Usborne Elite Members and Leaders made their way to The Lygon Arms, a luxurious 16th century hotel and spa, for training and business planning plus a combined celebratory dinner with some of the Usborne Books at Home Head Office team.

Louise Stancer, new Elite Member and Team Leader had this to say:

"Becoming part of Team Usborne's Elite and receiving the invite to the Cotswolds was something I never would have imagined possible, a year ago. Having the opportunity to meet other new leaders and the Head Office team to share ideas and experiences was invaluable. You realise you all have so much in common and feel part of the wider Usborne family. I came away with not only the support and ideas from the event but also new found Usborne friends. I feel privileged to have been invited to the Lygon Arms, spend time with my fantastic Mentor Emma Butt and so much stronger in taking my business forward!".

Some highlights from the event included:

Pam Anthony and Irene Walters from the Academy for Direct Sales Training, ran a personalised training session on coaching techniques, that Leaders could take away and use with their teams.

"Planting the seeds" - a group exercise helping Organisers explore what seeds they will sow for their business.

An excuse to dress up and celebrate with Champagne (a pre-requisite at all Usborne events) and something many were looking forward to!

“When you win incentives it makes you feel part of something really special.”Vicki Offin, Usborne Team Leader
