Reach for the Stars - October Stories

31st October 2018

The exciting thing about running your own Usborne business, is the opportunity to not only share our award-winning books with customers, schools and more, but also to share that same opportunity with others. Our Organisers are able to support countless individuals to write a better story for their families.

In this series of blogs, we will be following the stories of some of our newly promoted Organisers, who may be becoming a leader for the first time, or climbing further up the promotion ladder by expanding their businesses.

We hope that their stories show you that anything is achievable in your Usborne business. Just reach for the stars!

Gabriela Rusu's Story

Promoting to Executive Leader was included in my Visual Board that I made in June, with no clear deadline but my mind was set for the end of this year. My team surprised me though with a fierce determination to be better and to achieve more, so I achieved this incentive faster. It seems that September is my lucky month, as in 2015 I promoted to Team Leader and two years later to Divisional Leader. I have learned a lot since 2015, I gained a lot of experience and I see things through a whole new perspective.

I concentrated a lot of my attention and efforts towards my team and it paid off, because I have a lot more leaders in my downline, they are more motivated and they want to achieve more as well.'

Karen Jones' Story

'Promoting to Group Leader felt like the natural next step in my business. I have been a team leader for the last two years and group leader was a natural progression. I also wanted to open up the next level of earning potential.

I work hard supporting my team to progress their business' in a way that they wish. Through doing this, over time, two of my team promoted to Team Leader and in addition to that, I met the criteria required to promote to Group Leader. For me the biggest tip I can give is to be positive. Without positivity you simply cannot succeed and you need to keep going regardless of any obstacles that are placed in your way.

Sarah Nixon's Story

'I didn't really plan on a promotion journey, I was happy putting books into the hands of children, but the more I did and the more I learnt about Usborne, the more I wanted to share my experience. I love being part of a passionate team, but more importantly, supporting fellow parents to achieve and realise their goals within their businesses. Everything is achievable with a bit of creativity and imagination.

I think being happy to share knowledge and ideas, and supporting people to turn ideas into reality helped me achieve promotion to Team Leader. So, my biggest tip(s) would be to share your ideas with your team and create a community of support. Secondly, those ideas you think may be silly or out of your range can often be the most effective and rewarding.'

Congratulations to Gabriela, Karen and Sarah. We are incredibly proud of your achievements!
