Reach for the Stars - May Stories
21st May 2018
The exciting thing about running your own Usborne business, is the opportunity to not only share our award-winning books with customers, schools and more, but also to share that same opportunity with others. Our Organisers are able to support countless individuals to write a better story for their families.
In this series of blogs, we will be following the stories of some of our newly promoted Organisers, who may be becoming a leader for the first time, or climbing further up the promotion ladder by expanding their businesses.
We hope that their stories show you that anything is achievable in your Usborne business. Just reach for the stars!
'I joined Usborne in August 2017, and had a great start to my business, achieving Kit Boost and Kit Refund, but initially wasn't interested in recruiting at all. But the first party I did (at 8 months pregnant) was where my first recruit came from - Vicki filled in an Free Prize Draw slip and ticked yes to being interested in selling Usborne Books! My next two recruits Sam and Deanne happened equally as naturally, and it was only really at this point that I thought maybe I could go for Team Leader!
With three recruits under my belt, two RSL/RSRs, and about five events booked for March, I decided that was the month it was most likely to happen. I followed everything that Vikki and Kirsty were telling us, and went for it! It didn't happen, but the results that I had seen from pushing myself made me want it even more!
When Emma joined my team on the 17th April, our team only had about £200 in sales, and two active Organisers, and I'll be honest, I didn't think it would happen. But the whole team got on board and worked their socks off to get active. By the 27th April, all the plans were in place to get the team total to £1500, it was just a case of watching it happen! The last order went on at 9.30pm on 30th April, and I screamed, danced around the house, cried a bit, and didn't sleep at all!
I'm so grateful to the team for making it happen, the support and guidance from Vikki, Kirsty and Melissa, and the support and encouragement from the rest of the team too!'
'I love Usborne books. We use all sorts of the titles both at home with my three children, as well as at my language school, so spreading the enthusiasm for them at book fairs is a natural thing for me. My team has grown naturally too, and we are all connected by our love of the books. I try to support, help and inspire them every day. I think my Group Leader promotion is just a natural outcome of everything I have put in to my Usborne business.'
Congratulations to Jacalyn for promoting to Team Leader and Lucie for promoting to Group Leader! We are incredibly proud of all your achievements.
