Best Bedtime Stories

30th August 2017

When your children return to school, it can seem hard to find some quality time together away from the school run and the evening homework. For us, bedtime stories are our favourite time to cuddle up together and forget about the hustle and bustle of the day in the wonder of a fictional world.

Here are some of our favourite stories to snuggle up with this September:

Llamas in Pyjamas £4.99
The ultimate bedtime story! Frankie the llama invites his friends around for a spooky sleepover of sharing stories and playing games by torchlight. Packed with fun illustrations and hilarious rhyming text, this is great for a giggle before bedtime.

The Railway Children £4.99
We adore the picture book version of this childhood classic. Share the beautiful tale of Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis as they adjust to their life in the countryside and make new friends. Large illustrations throughout make this great for sharing, whilst the short text makes it an ideal length for before bedtime.

Jack and the Beanstalk £4.99
Share this favourite childhood fairy tale with your children, and show them what happened when Jack's magic beans turned into an enormous beanstalk. Vibrant illustrations throughout and simple text make this picture book perfect for reading together.

Knitbone Pepper Ghost Dog: Best Friends Forever £6.99
An enchanting new series about a special ghost dog and his best friend Winnie. Packed full of mayhem and giggles, this series is perfect for those looking for longer bedtime stories that you can look forward to coming back to night after night. Best Friends Forever is the first in the series and ideal for more confident, independent readers, or for sharing together.

The Wind in the Willows £17.99
Looking for a back-to-school bedtime treat? This beautiful illustrated book, is a complete and unabridged version of the childhood classic. Join Mole, Ratty, Badger and Mr. Toad on their many adventures, and prepare for a night of dreaming about the wonderful world of the animals. Ideal for a very special storytime.
