Organiser of the Month - Nicola Jones

21st June 2017

We always love to hear how Organisers are trying new things in their business. June's Organiser of the Month ran a live training session for her whole group about how she achieves strong sales results, which left the rest of the team buzzing with new ideas for their businesses.

Nicola was nominated by her Mentor, Clare Johnson, who says that her group would be a much duller and quieter place without Nicola's positivity and enthusiasm.

"Nicola joined my team last year and has become such a huge part of it, always happy to share her knowledge, experiences and words of encouragement. Her passion and enthusiasm for our books is infectious and clearly comes across to her customers at the events she does. Her sales are always consistently strong at these events, which to me is an incredible example of how our customers buy into our service and expertise, which she provides by the bucketload."

Nicola, shares her Usborne story with us:

"It's been a bumpy one! I've known for a long time what I wanted but didn't think it was achievable with any job or work from home business. I almost gave up...a few times! I kept measuring my successes against others rather than realising what I had and could achieve. It has taken a while to realise that Usborne will open up a lot of doors for me and will have a huge impact on my future. The gala last year changed everything for me, and I nearly didn't go! I needed to see the end goal was possible and to get my focus back. There was a mindset shift; I was more open-minded to trying new things, and I started using more positive language (Yoda is great for this)! With the continued support from my Mentor, I know I will get there.

Live videos were totally out of my comfort zone. I was adamant I wouldn't do them. I wouldn't even try. I would stay in my comfort zone. But with that mindset shift, I thought 'what if I did?' I was having really good events, strong and consistent sales and getting that excitement bubble up in me when I made those sales - why not share that experience with my team? Being part of a team means being a team player, and if I could share what I do, maybe they could feel the same as I did.

I would say just try it... I couldn't love what I'm doing more, and I'm excited to see where I'll be this time next year!"

Congratulations Nicola! A copy of our June Book of the Month will be on its way to you very soon.
