Leadership Academy reviewed
5th October 2016
On Thursday 29th and Friday 30th September 2016, some of our highest achieving Organisers joined Usborne Books at Home staff at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire for two days of fun and focused business building.
From a session on 'Coaching Techniques' to 'Building a Digital Marketing Plan' with guest speaker Shelley Röstlund, Organisers were given the opportunity to work together on key leadership skills and action plans to move their businesses forward. This, combined with an evening of celebration to toast the success stories of all attendees so far, made for a truly wonderful event to kick-start the busy autumn season.
Take a look at the highlights video below:
Three of our attendees shared their thoughts on the event:
"The Leadership Academy was a fantastic opportunity to spend time with my peers, sharing stories, knowledge and best practices. I am excited to put what I have learnt about 'coaching' into practice and hope this will benefit not only myself, but my team too.
The social media training has already started to have a positive impact on my business and I have seen a marked increase in traffic and interaction on my business page since the training took place. Add to this a lovely meal, time relaxing in the jacuzzi and pool, a few prosecco's and some giggles with new friends, the Leadership Academy really was a great experience. Thank you Usborne!"

"I decided to cut a holiday short in order to attend Leadership Academy and I'm so pleased I did! I needed an injection of fresh ideas and 'oommph' into my business which was pottering along nicely but with no particular direction. I came away completely fired up, inspired, more knowledgeable about the power of Facebook and ready to embrace the new strategies I've been given. It was so worthwhile and I loved it!"

"Having just returned from Leadership Academy, I would just like to share some of my thoughts about why these days are so important. Although I have been to many before, it is still motivating to share the time with so many enthusiastic new leaders and remember how it felt for me as a new Leader. As an established Leader, for me, the most important aspect is having the time to reflect on my own business, think about my goals and what changes I need to make to move my business forward. I really enjoyed the time I had to spend with my new Team Leader and will do all I can to make sure I am at the next one in January."
