Each season, ALL Gold Level members of the Business Development Programme will be invited to our ‘must attend’ Leadership Academy – a business enhancing, inspiring and fun two day event, led by our Business and Leadership Development team, Sue Pittman and Becky Budd and Managing Director, Mark Franklin. This very special free trip away will provide an opportunity to develop your core skills and also your confidence, alongside other Organisers at all levels of the business. There will also be a chance to celebrate your success with Usborne and enjoy an overnight stay in twin accommodation, to be shared with another Organiser.
This event will focus around the key components of ‘Your Usborne You’. Feedback from past attendees stated that being with their peers is crucial in increasing their business competency and confidence. This event focuses entirely on giving you the opportunities to work together on key leadership skills and action plans to maximise the growth of your business. In an effort to support you in your business planning, we are very pleased to announce that all Leadership Academy events in 2017 will take place at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire on the following dates:
Wednesday 25th - Thursday 26th January 2017 (January-April membership season)
Wednesday 24th - Thursday 25th May 2017 (May-August membership season)
Wednesday 27th - Thursday 28th September 2017 (September-December membership season)
Dating back to 1710, this quintessentially British hotel is situated in 440 acres of gorgeous countryside, with an 18 hole golf course, luxury health club and spa and modern conference facilities – the perfect location for two days of Usborne business building.
Due to the close proximity of Heythrop Park to the Usborne Books at Home Head Office, attending one (or all!) of our Leadership Academies will provide a great opportunity to get your team together for a training session and meet the Usborne Books at Home staff too.

The Business Development Programme operates across three seasons:

September to December
Each season acts as a qualification period and a reward period. You qualify in one season for membership into the next.
