Organiser of the Month - Jayne Jackson

21st March 2017

We love to hear about how Usborne has helped people gain confidence. March's Organiser of the Month has got off to a great start and is enjoying the benefits of her new business already.

Jayne Jackson was nominated by her Mentor, Charlotte Mellis, who feels inspired by her and clearly very proud too.

"The reason I would like to nominate Jayne is because she works very hard to promote Usborne Books at Home, selling our amazing books and recruiting some lovely team members. Her Facebook page has been professional from the start, she is always keen to explore a range of advertising techniques and with determination, she has recruited successfully. Jayne promoted in February (with ease!) and is continuing to Mentor her team well. As my team member, she has inspired me! Her business is flying and I really feel she deserves this recognition."

Jayne, a mum of two, living in Dorset, shares her Usborne story with us.

"I joined Usborne after seeing a Facebook advert in November 2016, when my second daughter was only about nine weeks old. I’m an ESOL/English teacher and I'm passionate about reading and language development and thought ‘this could be for me’. I also loved the idea of free books for my own girls!

With the help of my fantastic Mentor, Charlotte and her upline, Steffi, I launched the business with a small party and by the middle of December I'd reached some incentives, I was in profit, had more stock and had begun to see a future with Usborne. Most importantly for me, I was enjoying it and had gained so much confidence. I could do this! I recruited and promoted to Team Leader in February and achieved the Quickstart Programme Double Promotion Bonus.

Usborne has given me something to be proud of. I love doing readings in local nurseries and was excited to book my first Sponsored Reading Event (a 'Ready, Steady, Read') around World Book Day. I’m also part of an amazing team of Organisers (and now friends) who help each other, share event leads and locally, we’ve just raised £170 for Julia’s House hospice, which has brought £440 in books to some very poorly children (we donated our commission, free books & bought some special offers). All of this has happened within 14 weeks of me joining Usborne. I’m really looking forward to seeing where I am by this November, which will mark the first year in my new business!"

Congratulations Jayne! A copy of our March Book of the Month will be on its way to you very soon.
